History of Company
Kitchen and Bath Mart is not just a store, it is a 45-year long tradition. To provide superior home building materials and professional installation services for the entire Chicagoland area was the founding concept when the company began in 1958.
In 1958 Builders Outlet Incorporated opened for business as a home center offering an incredible range of quality home products. Well before their time and driven by the vision of the founder Robert P. Dhamer, the Builders Outlet sales and service organization became Kitchen and Bath Mart. The focus turned solely on the kitchen and bath areas while maintaining quality and style.
The tradition continues to thrive still with roots deep in the building industry. The supply of specialty building products for the kitchen and bath area remains the key focal point. Over 45 years later, the Kitchen and Bath Mart showrooms are now fully outfitted with products offering the most inspiration, style and practicality available in the kitchen and bath industry.
The store that opened in 1958 on Milwaukee Avenue in the Village of Niles, Illinois is still in the same spot. However, Kitchen and Bath Mart has since expanded and now also operates a showroom in Palatine, Illinois, which opened in 1979.
The Kitchen and Bath Mart team is currently lead by two brothers from the next generation. With pride, Dennis and Joseph Dhamer manage all facets of the organization keeping the family tradition of superior products and service a stylish presence throughout Chicagoland.
